Cilantro

Cilantro (sih-LAHN-troh) is a member of the carrot family, and is sometimes referred to as Chinese Parsley or Coriander. Cilantro is actually the leaves and stems of the coriander plant.
Cilantro is very popular throughout the US and is thought to be named after "koris", the Greek word for "bedbug"! The Chinese used the herb in love potions believing it provided immortality. Cilantro was also known to be used as an "appetite" stimulant. Cilantro is considered an aid to the digestive system, as well as necessary for many unique culinary creations!
